“Family Matters”, the comic published the week of 2017-03-27, was one of the first comics done entirely with a digital process. As a result, here is a short video showing the pencils and inks being done on an iPad Pro using Procreate with the Apple Pencil.
You can see that the comic started with a different premise, then I came back and continued with the final idea. Some of the tough areas were drawing Dad’s hands — at one point, you can also see me erase and redraw the face in the third panel.
The dialog balloons and colors are done using Photoshop. That might be a video for the future!
